Earlier this month, The Daily Memphian released an article examining fundraising successes by the Jan. 31 deadline from various Shelby County campaigns – including for the race for District Attorney.
The article lists Steve Mulroy as “the top fundraiser among the three Democrats at the end of the period.”
Steve reported $125,678 on hand after raising $129,106 for the period (including a $20,000 loan to his campaign) and spending $3,428.
All told, this amount is significantly higher than Steve’s Democratic competitors, Janika White and Linda Harris, who had on hand $22,782 (as of Jan. 15) and $8,564, respectively.
Amy Weirich, the incumbent, has more funds than Steve at the moment, but only managed to raise $83,494 in the six months since July – whereas Steve was able to raise $129,106 within less than two months.
The article also discusses fundraising for other key Shelby County races. You can read the full Daily Memphian article here.
