Democratic County Mayor candidate Steve Mulroy netted the best score of all candidates from the Coalition For A Better Memphis, the nonpartisan group of community-minded professional and business volunteers who have been interviewing and scoring candidates for public office for the last eight years.

Mulroy scored higher  than incumbent Mayor Mark Luttrell in the Overall category and in individual categories like Vision, Improving the System, and others.  Moreover, Mulroy’s Overall score was higher than any of the dozens of other candidates, Republican and Democratic, which CBM scored  for any other county government office considered.

Democratic mayoral candidates Deidre Malone and Kenneth Whalum, Jr. declined to participate in the process.
