| Sunday, June 27th | County Commissioner Steve Mulroy will give a presentation to the Public Issues Forum on campaign finance reform and the first amendment. The presentation will discuss the recent "Citizens United" Supreme Court case, which recognizes a First Amendment right of corporations to make unlimited campaign contributions, as well as potential legislative responses to the decision. The event will take place this Sunday, June 27, at 3 p.m., at the Benjamin Hooks Library. The Public Issues Forum is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to educating citizens about issues of public concern. . |
